Antique Hickory Golf

This is a smooth face gutty iron.  No maker's mark is visible.  It has a "squared" hosel joint, indicative of pre 1900 irons.  With a loft of 44* and a nice wide sole, this one can be your "go to" club around the greens in gutty golf. The head has been reset and whipping has been added to the shaft above the hosel for strength.  The grip is a leather wrap, rough side out.  It is 36 3/4" long with a swing weight of D-7.  The shaft is not marked.  The sole shows evidence of play.
