This is a line face MASHIE IRON 5 by Tom Stewart with #44 on the sole. Stewart's pipe mark and trademark info are in the usual place. This one has Stewart's oval name stamp in the center of the back. The late Ralph Livingston III in his masterpiece book on Stewart says on page 128, "The 44 is a rare utility club with a very distinctive mashie head shape" . The photo is Ralph's book is of an FO/RTJ 44 iron. The head has been reset and whipping has been added to the shaft above the hosel for strength. The grip is a new brown leather wrap, rough side out. It is 38 1/4" long. The loft is 27* and the swing weight is D-3. The shaft is not marked. The sole shows evidence of play. This one is set up for play, but it could also be a great addition to your collection. I only ship within the USA . I ship my clubs via UPS Ground. The charges are determined using a shipment of a 3 lb box to your zip code. Please review before you buy.
