Auto Flex shafts and their “KHT” (Korean Hidden Technology) are much lighter than other shafts with equivalent shaft flex. This greater flexibility and lighter weight produces less CPM, or “cycles per minute.”
CPM is a measure of how the golf club shaft oscillates through the swing and contact.
When the golfer swings the club, especially through transition, on the downswing, and on contact with the ball, higher CPM ratings result in a club that is less consistent.
