On Club Car products, if you have a manual lever style direction selector beside the driver's leg, you have a "Series" system. If your cart has a toggle style rocker switch in the same location rather than a shift lever, it is a separately excited system, and this motor will NOT WORK with that application. Another sign is if your cart has a "Tow/Run" switch inside the battery compartment towards the front wall. which if you have that switch, you have a separately excited system and this motor will NOT WORK with that application. This motor is not recommended for use with stock controller (400 Amp upgrade minimum), and will make your top end flat ground speed (with standard 18" tires) at about 15 mph @ 36V and 18 mph @ 48V .  This motor is nicknamed the "Beast" because of it's raw low end torque. Although it won't provide a significant increase in top speed, it is one of the highest torque aftermarket motors available for this type of application. Low end torque is usually at the expense of  high speed performance with DC series wound electric motors.  With stock controller and tires, this motor will provide only a minimum increase in speed, but will increase your low end torque even with stock controller by about 40%. With a lifted cart with larger tires, you'll get a higher top end speed depending on the tire size. If this motor is used in conjunction with a 650 Amp Controller and required auxillary parts, you can achive close to an 80% improvement in overall torque. This motor is typically used in hunting and high torque applications.  If the cart is lifted with larger tires, or will be used in a hilly location or pulling application, you might want to consider using a Higher Amperage Controller to improve your torque even further as well. Depending on your application, you may also need to upgrade to Heavier 4 Gauge Battery and Power Cables as well as a Heavy Duty F-N-R Switch, a Performance Solenoid Contactor Relay and Performance Solenoid Resistors & Diodes.
