Jimmy Ballard was a teacher within the PGA and wrote golf instruction books. This set of irons bears his name. The stainless faces are called "oversize" which refers to the wide sole. The cavitated backs and the wide soles raises the center of gravity to allow better placement of the shot. The #3 is the longest club at 40 inches and the #9 and Pitching wedge are the shortest clubs at 37 inches each. All clubs have black, Ovation G4-IR Series graphite shafts.They have very nice Bob Mann tour wound grips.
