I say this because; 1. The 3-4-5-6 irons looked as if they had never been hit. 2. The grooves as well as the numbers on the soles of all clubs were uncommonly wide and deep. 3. Bag marks on the shafts are very light and even some of the silk screening on the shafts still visible on most of the shafts! This auction is for a Professionally restored MATCHING set (3-SW)(9 clubs) of Ping EYE 2 BLACK ⚫ DOT ( STANDARD lie) irons with the much sought after RADIUSED SQUARE GROOVES ... with original factory  STIFF  FLEX PING JZ shafts that are STANDARD length .   Shafts have VERY light bag marks and in VERY good condition. Shaft bands are still present with VERY light curling. This set has also been fitted with PING SPIRAL WRAP GRIPS, that are in excellent condition and are soft and very tacky. (pictured) The serial #s (52509A) match on all 9 clubs  and have been verified by Ping ( 1-800-474-6434 ) as being authentic Ping Eye 2 Copper ⚫  dot irons  that were built on 06/17/88 .  ****************** PLEASE NOTE; THESE CLUB HEADS ARE MADE OF COPPER AND JUST LIKE A NEW COPPER PENNEY, THEY WILL GRADUALLY TARNISH OVER TIME, SO THEY MAY BE A BIT DARKER IN SPOTS WHEN THE BUYER RECEIVES THEM. ****************** After returning the heads to their original factory finish,  New paint fill was applied to each sole number and Ping logo in the back cavity, as well as the dot. As you can see from the pictures, the heads have the same finish and appearance as they did when they originally left the factory. And as the pictures clearly show, if you did not know otherwise, you would never know these clubs have ever been hit. The grooves are very crisp and deep on all of the clubs, even on the BOTH Wedges . (pictured) As always I go to great lengths to acquire the finest vintage Pings available and go out of my way to describe them honestly and accurately...my impeccable feedback speaks for itself, and I have taken the most detailed pictures possible (outside in the sunlight so that any imperfections can be seen) in an effort to show the buyer exactly what he is getting.
