“SCOTT CAMERON HANDMADE” Putter: This piece of historic art was created in 1993 by Master Craftsman Scotty Cameron. 1993 was the “Breakout” year for Scotty as one of his putters was used by Bernard Langer to win the 1993 Masters at Augusta. This was the first Major win for a putter from Scotty Cameron. It has the authentic RG grip with a fluted shaft at 35” playing length. 3 head covers are included. The original Scotty Cameron “Milled Putters”, a “Snow flake” themed cover with matching snow flake engraved divot tool and a fantastic signed Circle “L.” All are perfect! This specific putter is special for a couple of reasons. First, it was from the most important year for Scotty…1993. And second, it is one of the only putters I’ve ever seen to be stamped in two locations for the iconic year it was created by Scotty. H.M. 93 HAND MADE 1993 SCM… for Scotty Cameron Milled or Made is used in his original style of crown using a sideways number “0” and an inverted “V” to make the 3 points of the original crown. And who could miss the Scotty Cameron “Snow.” Each one placed just exactly where he wanted at any given time without any real thought other than where he placed his punch. That’s what makes his Hand Made putters so unique and original. This putter is “Flawless” even in its imperfections. I’m not talking about nicks, dings or scratches…none of that here! But if you look closely at the paint fills you will notice they are a little “Out of the lines” in some places. Scotty is known for having interestingly placed stamps, odd gapping of letters or jamming letters in at the end to make them fit. But when it comes to “Art” it can never be wrong or a mistake. It’s simply what makes a piece unique or identifiable. The fact is the pictures in the Certificate of Authenticity match up exactly to the actual putter. That being said…the COA is from 2010 so it “IS” possible this putter has been restored since 1993. An indication of this could be that the stamping on the face is smooth and not mushroomed. This would be from the face being re-milled. But then again…maybe that’s the way Scotty made it??? Even the snow dots, sole stamps and SCM Crown are smooth. So perhaps, when you look at all the soft edges and roll top style top-line that it was done by Scotty when he made it to keep it smooth to the touch just as it is to the eye? In any case, this is a beautiful work of art that is timeless when it comes to “The Art of Putting.” I’ve been offered as much as $12,500 for this exquisite masterpiece.
