Nice vintage Ted Smith putter for your collection of interesting puttersA few Ted Smith fun facts: Born in Philadelphia, Pa. in 1906. At the age of 12 he requested a set of golf clubs because he saw Rockefeller playing golf. At the age of 18 he became a golf club maker apprentice and moved up to become a salesman for MacGregor. He made clubs for the top pros such as Hogan, Demaret, Nelson and Armour. In WWII the government took over the company and he started designing many useful products for the war machine such as ejection seats for pilots and jackets with foil so that they are undetected by radar. After the war he set up his own shop in Upper Darby, Pa. and continued making putters until he sold his business in 1971 We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or P.O boxes Seller is not responsible for the breakage of vintage or antique clubs
