Pair Antique Vintage Hickory Shaft Wright&Ditson Mercury Fancy Face

This item is a pair antique vintage  right-handed  woods. Both were made by Wright&Ditson from their Mercury fancy face.  One is 43" length 3* loft and D 3 swingweight driver (very stiff shaft). The other is 42 1/2" 11* C 2 (very stiff shaft) brassie.   Heads are in good used condition. They do  have the expected play nicks and dings. The red insert on the brassie is deteriorating.  Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft are the original hickories. T hey are straight,  I see no cracks and are tight at the hosel. The grips also appear to be original and are in fair to good vintage condition. Desi rable  clubs for hickory play. Do the necessary work on these and you will have players. Also great for display.  If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These old wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts or heads against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old wooden shafted wood with a hard range ball. Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 4 -pound  box. This item shipped UPS Ground. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge. On top of that, eBay and takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of $10 I receive $8.50) and I would like to break even. eBay collects sales tax for many states. They charge me 15% for that service and I never see that money.
